Summary of the contracting process

The UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) is currently in the planning stage of a procurement process to replace its vulnerability scanning tool, which is critical for identifying security flaws across its digital infrastructure. The procurement, classified under the industry category of security software, has an estimated total value of £1,082,400 for a potential three-year contract (1+1+1). Pre-market supplier engagement sessions will take place between 24th and 31st August 2022, with a deadline for expressions of interest set for midday on 19th August 2022. UKRI's main office is located in Swindon, United Kingdom.

This procurement presents significant growth opportunities for businesses specialising in cybersecurity solutions and software development, particularly those with experience in vulnerability scanning tools. Given the emphasis on feedback during the pre-market engagement sessions, suppliers in security software, cloud computing, and IT services are encouraged to participate and showcase their capabilities. Engaging effectively in this tender process could lead to long-term partnerships with UKRI, a key player in the UK's research and innovation landscape.
