Derby City Council is seeking to commission a number of Supported Accommodation Block Contracts to supply high quality supported accommodation for Young People in care aged 16/17 years, and care leavers up to the age of 21 years.

Lot Information

LOT 1 - CHILDREN IN CARE / LOOKED AFTER CHILDREN

This Lot relates to the following cohorts of Young People: * 16/17 Year Old Children in Care (CiC) / Looked After Children (LAC) * 16/17 Year old Section 20 Young People * Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASC) awaiting a Home Office decision Essential Components / Criteria The Provider must provide accommodation and 10 hours per week of direct one-to-one support per Young Person as outlined in Sections 6 and 7 of the Specification.

Options: Initial term of two years with option to extend up a further 24 months

Renewal: Up to two annual extensions, making the overall contract period up to four years. Potential dates for advertising renewals if options are not taken are October 2024 and October 2025.

LOT 2 - YOUNG HOMELESS / CHILDREN IN NEED / CARE LEAVERS

This Lot relates to the following cohorts of Young People: * 16/17 Year old Young Homeless * 16/17 Year old Children in Need (CiN) * 18-21 Year old Care Leavers * 18-21 Year old Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASC) in receipt of a positive Home Office decision (e.g. granted Leave to Remain) Essential Components / Criteria The Provider must provide accommodation and 10 hours per week of direct one-to-one support per Young Person as outlined in Sections 6 and 7 of this Specification. At the point of response to tender, the Provider must provide evidence that they are an approved registered provider of social housing with Derby City Council or that they have previously successfully claimed Housing Benefit from Derby City Council within the last year for 16/17 year olds in supported accommodation in Derby.

Options: Initial term of two years with option to extend up to a further 24 months.

Renewal: Up to two annual extensions, making the overall contract period up to four years. Potential dates for advertising renewals if options are not taken are October 2024 and October 2025.
