Summary of the contracting process

Derby City Council commissioned supported accommodation for young people in care aged 16 and 17, care leavers up to 21, young homeless people, children in need and eligible unaccompanied asylum-seeking children. The service combines accommodation with direct support, including 10 hours of one-to-one support per young person each week for the relevant cohort. It is a health and social work service (CPV 85000000), delivered in Derby and the surrounding area served by the council. LOT 2 - YOUNG HOMELESS / CHILDREN IN NEED / CARE LEAVERS

This Lot relates to the following cohorts of Young People: * 16/17 Year old Young Homeless * 16/17 Year old Children in Need (CiN) * 18-21 Year old Care Leavers * 18-21 Year old Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASC) in receipt of a positive Home Office decision (e.g. granted Leave to Remain) Essential Components / Criteria The Provider must provide accommodation and 10 hours per week of direct one-to-one support per Young Person as outlined in Sections 6 and 7 of this Specification. At the point of response to tender, the Provider must provide evidence that they are an approved registered provider of social housing with Derby City Council or that they have previously successfully claimed Housing Benefit from Derby City Council within the last year for 16/17 year olds in supported accommodation in Derby.
