North of England Commissioning Support (NECS) is a commissioning support service working for and on behalf of NHS England North West (the Contracting Authority), NHS England North East and Yorkshire and NHS England East of England for the provision of NHS England North Region - Clinical Reviewers to Support Health and Justice in Deaths in Custody Investigations.

North of England Commissioning Support (NECS) is a commissioning support service working for and on behalf of NHS England North West, NHS England North East and Yorkshire and NHS England East of England. This was a collaborated procurement across NHSE North West, NHSE North East and Yorkshire and NHSE East of England Regional Teams. The agreed identified commissioning lead was NHSE North West and was the nominated Contracting Authority (the Contracting Authority), who have undertaken a procurement to commission North Region - Provision of Clinical Reviewers to Support Health and Justice in Death in Custody Investigations under the NHS Standard 2022/23 Shorter-form Contract Particulars, Service Conditions and General Conditions; or any edition or subsequent revisions; and the Provision of Deaths in Custody Clinical Reviews for Health and Justice Including Prisons and Secure Children's Home Service Specification The contract term is for an initial period of 5 years commencing on 01 April 2023, with an option to extend for a further 3 years at the discretion of the Contracting Authority and subject to satisfactory contractual and financial performance. Additional information: The "Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006" as amended by the "Collective Redundancies and Transfer of Undertaking (Protection of Employment) (Amendment) Regulation 2014" (TUPE) may apply to this contract. However, Bidders were advised to obtain their own legal advice and carry out due diligence including the New Fair Deal non-statutory policy setting out how pensions issues are to be dealt with when staff are compulsorily transferred from the public sector to independent providers delivering public services.
