Summary of the contracting process

The Housing 21 contracting process is currently at the planning stage for the procurement of cyclical redecorations and makeovers. Housing 21, a not-for-profit provider of Retirement Housing and Extra Care for older people, is seeking localised contractors to complete redecoration services across its locations in England. The tender, titled "Cyclical Redecorations and Makeovers," involves works such as painting, plastering, general building works, wood work, general electrical, scaffolding, and wall papering. The estimated contract value is £17,600,000 GBP. Key dates include the ITT Publication on 16th January 2023 and the contract start date in May 2023.

This tender by Housing 21 presents an opportunity for local small and medium enterprises in the construction and maintenance industry to access a long-term contract for redecoration services. Businesses with expertise in building completion work, particularly those with experience in painting, plastering, and general building works, would be well-suited to compete in this tender. The tender aims to promote sustainability practices and support local employment by awarding contracts on an ad hoc basis across different counties in England. Interested parties should note the tender deadlines and eligibility criteria outlined by Housing 21 to maximise their chances of being selected as a contractor.
