Lot 1

Various works testing on the efficacy of a novel therapeutic drug. Additional information: The estimated total value stated in Section II.1.7 includes the 3 year contract period and will include the option to extend for any period up to and including 24 months.

Options: It is anticipated the contract will be for 3 years initially with an option to extend for any period up to and including 24 months.

Procurement Information

The Direct Award complies with PCR Regs: * 32(5)a where the supplies can be supplied only by an economic operator for the purpose of research, study, and development. Medicine Discovery Catapult are the only supplier who can carry out all of the necessary testing required on this drug . Consistency is vital for this research and it is necessary that one company handles all of the testing. Much of the work can often be subjective and user dependent. To be confident in the results yielded, one supplier who offers all techniques would be scientifically merited and most economically viable A contract will not be entered into before 05 January 2023.
