Summary of the contracting process

Notice Description

This is not a call for competition and is not yet a contract opportunity. ** PLEASE NOTE: By Expressing an Interest in this event via the portal you are not confirming your place at the event. Please follow the instructions below to reserve your place. ** The current contract for Healthwatch Somerset expires at the end of March 2024 and we have a commissioning plan underway to have a new contract in place from April 2024. The recommissioning of the service will provide an opportunity to consider different models and where possible improve the current offer and outcomes for Somerset's residents. The overall aim is to co-produce and design the future service which creates an environment for a more collaborative working. We would like to hold a Provider Market Engagement session in March, with a view to focussing in on some of the available options for the commissioning and delivery of Healthwatch in the future.

A Market Testing event will be held on the 6th of March 2023 at 2pm. Somerset County Council are inviting organisations, that might be interested in delivering this service either individually or in partnership with others. The event will be an opportunity to inform and shape future options. Somerset County Council are keen to hear feedback from a range of providers as part of the wider consultation for this service. Organisations that take part will not be advantaged or disadvantaged in any way in any potential future formal procurement. Commercial confidentiality will be respected. This notice does not represent a formal commitment by Somerset County Council to undertake a procurement procedure. Event Details: * Date: Monday 6th of March 2023 * Time: 2pm-4pm * Venue: Via Teams Event Registration: To attend this event please send a message through the e-tender system www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk providing the name of your organisation, the name of the person(s) wishing to attend (Max 2 per organisation) and a contact email address for each to enable us to send through the full details of the event and the venue. Please ensure that those attending from your organisation are the most appropriate to feed into the discussions. If you are unable to attend the event, the presentation, notes and associated documentation will be available through the e-tender system www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk. Please respond by the deadline of 12:00pm 27th of February 2023 if you wish to attend. Thank you. SCC reserves the right to cancel or re-arrange these events at its own discretion. Thank you.
