Provision of Class 810 and Class 222 Vehicle Storage
Notice Description
The contract is for the storage of up to 17, 5 car Class 810 vehicles prior to entry into service. As the vehicles enter into service the storage will then be required for a 5/7 car Class 222 vehicle to support the fleet cascade plan as they exit operational services. Split into 2 lots, Lot 1 warm storage of Class 810 Vehicles, Lot 2 is for cold storage of Class 222 Vehicles.
Lot Information
Warm Storage of Class 810 Vehicles
Warm storage for up to 17 Class 810, 5 car units. The facility needs to include a miantenance shed with access to train jacks, overhead crane and underframe pit. Staff welfare facilities, mess facilities and have a water supply including drainage. The facility must be secure with a recordable CCTV system covering the entire sure. Fenced to a minimum height of 10 metres. 28 day wheel rotation services will be required. Including access to resource to udnertake all fitness for running checks prior to trainset departure.
Renewal: 12 month intitial contract with an option to extend for 2, 6 month periods.
