The successful provider will be required from the Actual Services Commencement Date and throughout the Term to sponsor in full, and additionally support, the EKHUFT stoma nursing care service. The EKHUFT stoma nursing care team provides specialist specialist stoma nursing care across the whole of East Kent and includes caring for patients in the Trust's three acute hospitals, in patients' homes and providing stoma clinics at other hospital sites and in GP practices. The Trust has had an established stoma nursing care service and team for over twenty years, currently providing services six days a week, to all ostomates of any age and their carers. This includes colostomists, ileostomists, urostomists as the main stoma types, but also fistula management and internal ileo-anal pouch patients.
