    "description": "Please read the following important notices before registering an interest to participate in market engagement: 1) This PIN is not a call for competition and is not published with the intention of reducing any time-limits for the receipt of tenders.2) Guildford Borough Council reserves the right not to commence any procurement process or award any contracts in respect of this notice and to amend the requirements stated in this notice (or as stated in any pre-procurement market engagement documents).3) Publication of this PIN does not indicate that a decision has been made on a particular route for a procurement and/or subsequent contract award, if any.4) Registration does not bind Guildford Borough Council to include any party/economic operator in the market engagement exercise.5) Guildford Borough Council is not obliged to communicate with any parties/economic operators that register after the deadline for registration has passed.6) Guildford Borough Council is not obliged to respond to any correspondence on this notice or any matter related to this pre-procurement market engagement exercise and the decision to accept the registration of any interested party/economic operator, and subsequent inclusion in any engagement process shall remain with Guildford Borough Council alone.9) Non-participation in this process will not prevent any party/economic operator from participating in any procurement process in due course, except that if the procurement route chosen is through an existing framework, only those contractors currently with framework agreements may participate.10) Given the early stage of the project, and the anticipated impact of the market engagement process, and other internal processes, any information provided to the market shall be subject to change and Guildford Borough Council (insofar as it is permitted by UK law) shall not be liable for any losses incurred by any party/economic operator as a result of reliance on such information.11) The contract value set out in is an indicative value, is subject to revision and is subject to confirmation in any future notices in relation to this procurement.",

This is a requirement to enable to delivery of the site, as per the National Planning Policy Framework and the granted Outline Planning Permission.* A summary of the reasons for these works are below:* Highway improvements on the A320 to maintain traffic capacities.* Enabling implementation of the County's Sustainable Movement Corridor (SMC) 5.* Introduction of bus priority measures designed to enhance bus reliability / performance and make this mode a more attractive option.* Rationalisation of parking and greening up (as much as possible) of the access corridors on Woodlands Road / Slyfield Green and Bellfields Road.* A network of cycle and footway facilities to encourage greater active travel.",
