This is for the purchase of Wavelength shifting (WLS) fibres of different lengths and diameters which are required for new detectors on ISIS.

Lot 1

Wavelength shifting (WLS) fibres of different lengths and diameters, totalling a length of 55 km, are required for new detectors on ISIS. This fibre is a critical component in neutron sensitive scintillation detectors that have been developed at ISIS. The fibres capture light from neutron sensitive scintillators embedded in the detectors and transport it to light sensors for signal processing. Additional information: The term and conditions relating to this purchase are provided in the Contract, which matches the Contract number cited in the narrative to this Purchase Order and are specific to this Contract.
