Notice Description
Culham site currently has fragmented and ageing workshop facilities, in order to modernise, the new Central Support Facility (CSF) will bring these services together, improving efficiency, quality, and flexibility to meet campus needs in the coming decades. The provision of accommodation for the new building comprises two main elements, a larger volume the "functional block" with generous internal heights and good vehicular access, and a smaller volume to the front of the building the "administration block" for the supporting office accommodation and main entry. UKAEA is targeting a sustainable new building that meets ambitions for a near net-zero campus, built to BREEAM Excellent standard.
