Dear Providers, Coventry City Council (the Council) is planning to go out to tender for the provision of Healthwatch Coventry Services. The current agreement in place for this service expires at the end of July 2024 and the new contract shall commence in August 2024. The Council would like to engage with Providers regarding the recommissioning of the Healthwatch Coventry Services, considering the new Integrated Health and Care system to give it an opportunity to consider different models and possible outcomes for Coventry residents. The Council would like to meet with organisations, that might be interested in delivering this service either individually or in partnership with others, to participate in pre-procurement market engagement. Pre-procurement market engagement meetings will be held virtually via Microsoft Teams on Thursday 3rd August 2023. If you would like to meet with the Council to discuss the new Healthwatch Coventry Services contract, please email procurement.Services@coventry.gov.uk by the 28th July 2023, confirming the name of your organisation and the names of your representatives that shall be attending the meeting and their email addresses. In turn a Microsoft Teams invite will be issued to your organisation's representatives, with a set of questions that the Council would like to discuss during the Pre-procurement market engagement meeting. For the avoidance of doubt, this pre-procurement market engagement is not part of a formal procurement process, and the Council is not committing at this stage, to carrying out such a process. Participation or non-participation in the pre-procurement market engagement process shall not prevent any Provider participating in a potential future procurement, nor is it intended that any information supplied as part of the pre-procurement process shall place any Provider at an advantage in a potential procurement process. Participation in the pre-procurement market engagement procurement process will be at each Provider's own cost. No expense in responding to this process will be reimbursed by the Council. This is not a call for competition. The Council reserves the right to cancel or rearrange pre-procurement market engagement meetings at its own discretion.
