Warwickshire County Council ("the Council") is seeking a Supplier for the safe and efficient bulk haulage of municipal waste from specified sites in Warwickshire. The Council is procuring the following lots: * Lot 1 - Collection and haulage of municipal waste from Lower House Farm Waste Transfer Station to Waste to Resources (W2R) Four Ashes Energy from Waste facility and other diversion points * Lot 2 - Collection and haulage of municipal waste from Rugby Borough Council Depot to Waste to Resources (W2R) Four Ashes Energy from Waste facility and other Delivery Points

Lot Information

Collection and haulage of municipal waste from Lower House Farm Waste Transfer Station to Waste to Resources (W2R) Four Ashes Energy from Waste facility and other diversion points

Suppliers will be required to provide a collection and haulage service for around 70,000 tonnes of waste per year. Currently, most of the waste is taken to the Energy from Waste Facility at Four Ashes in Staffordshire (Project W2R), however collection and haulage to other contingency delivery points will be required. W2R is the main delivery point for the duration of this haulage contract.

Options: The initial contract term will be for a period of 3 years. However, the Council reserves the right to extend the Contract by further periods not exceeding 24 months (2 years) in total (24 months being the maximum available extension period) at the discretion of the Council based on the contract performance of the successful bidder and the Council's requirements. This means that the maximum possible Contract term is 5 years in total.

Renewal: The initial contract term will be for a period of 3 years. The Council reserves the right to extend the Contract by further periods not exceeding 24 months in total .

Collection and haulage of municipal waste from Rugby Borough Council Depot to Waste to Resources (W2R) Four Ashes Energy from Waste facility and other Delivery Points

Suppliers will be required to provide a collection and haulage service for between 2,000 and 4,000 tonnes per annum of municipal waste from Rugby Borough Council Depot to the Energy Recovery Facility (W2R) at Four Ashes in South Staffordshire on request. Suppliers are also asked to price for an ad-hoc collection and haulage service for waste to specified Delivery Points.

Options: The initial contract term will be for a period of 2 years 11 months (this is to align the end date of Lot 2 to the end date of Lot 1). However, the Council reserves the right to extend the Contract by further periods not exceeding 24 months (2 years) in total . This means that the maximum possible Contract term is 29 months (4 years 11 months) in total.

Renewal: The initial contract term will be for a period of 2 years 11 months. The Council reserves the right to extend the Contract by further periods not exceeding 24 months in total .
