Through this innovative project, incorporating over 38,000 surgical procedures per year delivered across all Imperial sites, the collaborative partnership with IHS will allow Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust to deliver multi-faceted, measurable enhancements, benefiting patients throughout their care pathway. To ensure the maximum benefits the partnership will incorporate (amongst others) the following specialties:

The unique approach of combining optimised, non-clinical services with clinical and operational improvement projects, will deliver outstanding outcomes across the full spectrum of clinical care. Whilst utilising innovative commercial mechanisms to maximise the benefits for the Trust through risk-sharing agreements.

As a defined output of the pilot, Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust will work in partnership with IHS to develop the optimal service specification for a longer-term service contract, which will be competitively procured during the pilot.
