While this contract has progressed satisfactorily to completion of RIBA stage 3, our legal advisors informed us that the risks to the project of continuing the current contract were too high, and so the decision was taken to terminate. The wider project remains live, and work is continuing in all other areas. Our commitments to and relationships with our funders, stakeholders and communities remains strong and we are keen to maintain that progress. For this reason, we are now undertaking an accelerated procedure to engage another high quality and committed architects within a timeframe that enable us to meet all of our commitments."
