Digital Skills Courses - Skills Connect
Notice Description
The Combined Authority is seeking to contract with up to 6 providers to deliver Skills Connect courses to upskill individuals. The aim of Skills Connect is to support individuals into new roles or take on additional responsibilities and providers will be paid based on start, completion and progression of participants. Learning needs to be delivered at a level and length where individuals can progress based on the course content. The provider will need to evidence the rationale of content and length based on expected progression.
Lot Information
Lot 1 - Essential Digital Skills
The number of people in digital roles is growing and the evidence shows that employers often cannot hire employees with the required skillset. Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel are seen as some of the most in-demand skills at the present time for employers.
Lot 2 - Digital: Creative TechnologiesBusinesses and individuals across West Yorkshire are exploring new skills needs within the region. Digital Marketing, User Experience, social media for Businesses and Content Creation are skills that are integral to development and growth of businesses in the region. This suite of courses will support individuals into new roles and progressions in West Yorkshire. In turn, this will ensure economic growth from sole-traders, SME's and large organisations in the region.
Lot 3 - Digital: IT RolesThis suite of courses is designed to mitigate skills gaps in mid-high-level roles. There is a clear line of sight to apprenticeships in IT Support, Cloud Computing and Cyber Security roles all of which West Yorkshire businesses need.
Lot 4 - Digital: Technical SkillsThis suite of courses will be designed as an introduction to Data Analytics and Web Design & Web Development.
Lot 5 - Digital: Management RolesManagement courses in the Digital offer will be designed to introduce individuals to leadership in the digital sector. These courses will be available to candidates who would like to explore management roles within digital teams.
Lot 6 - Ethical use of Artificial IntelligenceArtificial Intelligence is an up-and-coming skill set that is rising across West Yorkshire. Individuals and businesses are using Artificial Intelligence more often. This course will be designed to teach individuals how to use Artificial Intelligence ethically and to explore AI tools available.
