Lot Information

Lot 1

AWE Urban Series - Background The Army Warfighting Experiment Urban Series 2022-2024 is a Capability Investigation within a threat based tactical scenario. It will employ live, virtual, and constructive methods to produce evidence which: de-risks major equipment programmes; enhances relationships with industry, partners, and allies; and accelerates Army modernisation and transformation. The Requirement AWE Integrate will examine how a future Land Force can utilise future technology to fuse sensor inputs and reduce the cognitive burden on force elements to provide a more coherent, efficient and survivable command and control structure as part of wider multi-domain operations. In addition, it will also review several previously offered hypotheses to generate more evidence against them, as well as bringing together a number of systems from earlier on in the series. AWE Integrate will focus on the following hypotheses, which will be further refined in due course into detailed experimental activity. Applications must link to one of the following hypotheses: COMMAND - If Urban force element Commanders have information management and exploitation tools that reduce their cognitive burden, then they will make higher quality, faster decisions to increase operational tempo and mass. INTELLIGENCE - If all Urban force elements have timely access to AI-processed ISTAR data (including native Civilian systems) then they will make better, intelligence-led, decisions to increase operational advantage. REVIEW - Hypotheses to be reviewed from earlier in the series (generate additional evidence). Additional information: AWE Urban Series activity may be circulated through a number of communication routes; however the White Paper and Quad Chart are only available via the DSP once the ITT has been published. The AWE Urban: Integrate ITT is due to be released in October 2023.
