Notice Description
Leicestershire County Council invites pharmacy service providers to submit proposals for the establishment of a comprehensive Pharmacy Services Framework. This Framework aims to consolidate three key services: Lot 1: Flu Vaccinations for Council Staff: - Provide seasonal flu vaccination services for Leicestershire County Council staff. - Ensure timely and efficient delivery of vaccinations during flu season. - Maintain the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Lot 2: Emergency Hormonal Contraception (EHC): - Offer accessible and confidential emergency hormonal contraception services. - Provide expert guidance and support to individuals in need of these services. - Emphasise discretion and sensitivity in service delivery. Lot 3: Nicotine Replacement Therapy: - Deliver evidence-based nicotine replacement therapy to support smoking cessation. - Promote a smoke-free environment by assisting individuals in their journey to quit smoking. - Ensure the availability of a range of NRT products and tailored cessation plans.

Flu Vaccinations for Council Staff
Leicestershire County Council are seeking Service Providers to support an initiative which will provide flu vaccinations for their employees. This programme aims to extend the existing NHS provision which focuses on safeguarding individuals at higher risk of flu related complications and mortality, for Leicestershire County Council employees. Over 6,000 employees are expected to be within scope of this provision.
Emergency Hormonal Contraception (EHC)The Council is seeking Service Providers to deliver a confidential Emergency Hormonal Contraception (EHC) service. The service aims to improve sexual health and prevent unintended pregnancies among young people in Leicestershire through the following actions: * Providing free Emergency Hormonal Contraception to women under 25 in accessible community settings, following specified criteria. * Promoting the online Chlamydia Screening Programme and raising awareness about sexual health issues. * Offering clear guidance and referrals to sexual health services. * Strengthening the local network of contraceptive and sexual health services for easy access. * Providing advice on condom usage and increasing awareness of STI risks. * Supplying information packs and signage as specified.
Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT)This service lot will contribute to the ongoing efforts of the Council in assisting individuals to quit smoking through the QuitReady scheme. The QuitReady program is a 12-week initiative that offers service users the latest support and coping mechanisms to maintain a smoke-free lifestyle. The service includes the provision of a 12-week supply of Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) kits, which will be dispensed to service users by the Service Providers. The key objectives of this service are as follows: *Ensuring the accurate and timely provision of the required range of licensed products for the service. *Offering advice and recommendations to the Council regarding product changes and new market offerings.
