CAT-23-006 Fresh Poultry and Poultry Products and CAT-23-008 Frozen Foods
Notice Description
The Education Authority (EA) wishes to establish two frameworks, one for the supply and delivery of frozen food products, and another for supply and delivery of fresh poultry and poultry products, for delivery to school meals kitchens. It is envisaged that a number of suppliers will be appointed to the frameworks. EA wish to carry out pre-market engagement with interested suppliers to investigate the current market capabilities and gain knowledge about existing and future products which will assist the tender panel with the development of the tender documentation. This will ensure existing and future requirements are met and will also provide procurement awareness for suppliers regarding EA's requirements for the purchase of these products.

It is anticipated this tender will be issued in January 2024. As part of the preparation activities the Education Authority are holding a pre-market engagement event with interested suppliers to investigate and understand market capabilities and gain knowledge to inform the development of specifications and tender documentation. The exercise will also provide procurement awareness for suppliers regarding the EA's requirements for the purchase of these products. The event will be a virtual session and is open to all interested suppliers. No final decision has been made yet on the composition of this framework and it is the intention of the Education Authority to hold pre-market engagement week commencing 27th November 2023 via MS Teams to discuss our requirements and gain feedback from interested suppliers. Should you wish to participate you must email catering.procure@eani.org.uk with the subject \"CAT-23-006 Fresh Poultry and Poultry Products and CAT-23-008 Frozen Foods - Pre-market engagement event\" no later than 12 noon on Wednesday 15th November 2023. Your email should include the names of the representatives wishing to attend, the name of your organisation and a summary of the products your organisation is interested in supplying. Future tender documentation will be made available via the http://etendersni.gov.uk website and interested suppliers should register, if not already registered, on this website to ensure they have access to tender documentation when any invitation to tenders are published. This pre-market engagement event is for information purposes only. Any interest shown does not constitute a commitment to participate in a procurement exercise. Failure to show interest does not restrict suppliers from participating in any future procurement exercise.",
