    "description": "The Monklands Replacement Project is anticipated to comprise up to 5 different contracts describing the different work to be undertaken to cater for the design of the project, the enabling works and main works contracts, possible work on the East Airdrie Link Road and a possible soft landings/maintenance contract. It was anticipated at the time of the Contract Notice that the project value was around GBP 500,000,000 (excluding the possible inclusion of the East Airdrie Link Road works). This award notice covers the first of the contracts to be awarded: the pre-construction services agreement, catering for the MRP construction partner's input to the design of the facility leading up to FBC. The PCSA facilitates entry into all the other contracts without further procurement, when the stated conditions are met. The other possible contracts are: enabling works for the roadworks and earthworks to prepare the site for the main construction contract (this contract could be part of the main works contract); main works contract to be entered into after FBC approval and covers the final design and build of the facility, to result in a completed facility ready for occupation; link road activity to be agreed with North Lanarkshire Council; a soft landings/maintenance contract covering the maintenance of the facility for a period of time to be agreed between NHS Lanarkshire and the Contractor during the period of the Main Works Contract. It is anticipated that further contract award notices will be issued in respect of the contracts comprised in the Monklands Replacement Project as and when they are entered into. (SC Ref:740498)",

The building contract for the main MRP works, and potentially the advance works contract for enabling works, would be awarded only on successful agreement of a target price and approval by the Scottish Government of the Full Business Case, following receipt of the contractor's second stage tender, with the maintenance contract(s) awarded at a subsequent date when the Scope is fully defined and price agreed.",
