Summary of the contracting process

The Royal Borough of Greenwich has issued a tender for the provision of property insurance for private dwellings sold on a leasehold basis under the Right to Buy legislation. The value of the contract is £9,300,000 GBP. Interested parties can submit bids through the Council's eTendering Suite. The tender period ends on 15th December 2023, with the bid opening scheduled for the same day at the Royal Borough of Greenwich Offices in Woolwich. The procurement method is an open procedure, and social value considerations are included in the tender documents.

This opportunity presents a chance for insurance service providers to secure a long-term contract with the Council. Businesses specialising in insurance services, particularly those experienced in property insurance, are well-suited to compete for this tender. The contract period is initially for 3 years, with potential extensions up to a total possible contract period of 5 years. With a clear emphasis on quality and pricing in the award criteria, companies with a strong track record in delivering high-quality insurance services competitively priced are likely to be successful in this procurement process.
