The aim of local enhanced services are to meet the needs of the local population, recognising and addressing gaps in the core services in order to reduce the necessity for admission to secondary care. The contracts also cover GPs with Extended Role services which, in addition to their core General Practice, a role that is beyond the scope of GP training and requires accreditation to fulfil the role and the ICB must identify a specific need for the service to be delivered at a specific practice. The following list of local enhanced services/GPwER and Additional Community Services are being offered to general practice from 01 April 2023 for a period of 3 years until 31st March 2026.
