The aim of the posture and mobility service is to provide a person-centred, efficient, cost-effective service that supports individuals, their families and Carers to achieve improved quality of life and independence through timely provision of the right wheelchair and associated equipment at the right time.

The original procurement put in place a contract period of 5 years with an option to extend by a further 2 years. This VEAT notice is to advise that the contract modification will extend the contract period by a further two years.

The contract was let following a competitive procurement process, the review established that there is a benefit to extend the extension provision from 2 to 4 years.
