Network Solution Design Manufacturing Adoption Hub
Notice Description
This is a VEAT Notice of WM5G's intention to award a contract. The Agreement will be to * Deliver a compelling and comprehensive Solution Design (document) ; * Deliver a compelling and comprehensive Business Case/ Impact (document).
Lot Information
Lot 1
WM5G intend to award a contract to support the delivery of a multi-million pound Adoption Programme. This agreement is intended to be awarded in December 2023 and will be to supply detailed input (Solution Design / Business Impact documents) required to enable the creation of a Manufacturing Adoption Hub within a global advanced manufacturer site based in the West Midlands, Successful delivery of this programme will require the experience and understanding of the existing ecosystem within the manufacturing site. The scope of this work includes private 5GSA as well as other technologies such as narrowband and satellite, for example. The scope of this requirement can only be performed by one entity, due to existing contractual arrangements between the manufacturing location and supplier. It is not possible to tender this section of scope to other parties. Accordingly competition is absent for technical reasons and there is no reasonable alternative or substitute (Regulation 32(2)(b)(ii)). Note: Contracts associated to the wider opportunity will be tendered in accordance with Public Procurement Regulations.
Procurement Information
The products, services and support can be provided only by a particular contractor that is engaged to exclusively supply these services within the chosen site. In any case the value of this procurement falls outside the relevant threshold for public service contracts. This VEAT notice is alerting the market of WM5G's intention to award a contract via a sole source procedure and not via a competitive tender. WM5G intends to award a contract for the above once a 30 day period has ended. The 30 day period will commence from the publication of this notice. A formal 10 day standstill period is included in the 30 Day period.
