On Thursday 25 January 2024 from 10.00 - 11.30, techUK is delighted to be hosting the Home Office for a virtual (online) market engagement event. The purpose of the event is to give suppliers the opportunity to engage with the HO and its partners to help build its knowledge and understanding of the Digital Asset Custody and Realisation Services market landscape and help inform its future market engagement and planning. To engage in this process suppliers are required to register their interest (without commitment) by providing their details, in order to receive joining instructions and participate in the event. The Home Office working in collaboration with the National Police Chiefs Council, and the City of London Police (Authority's Group) is seeking to engage with the Digital asset Custody, Exchange and Technology Services Market to help build its understanding of the level of market capability and capacity. Pre-Market Engagement will be used to build knowledge of the national provider landscape in readiness for future commissions, anticipated in the next financial year, commencing April 2024. The Home Office is looking to understand what services are currently available in the market that provide an institutional level of secure storage through to realisation. The Home Office is looking to engage the market to gain further information only at this time. The information provided will help the Home Office to consider and shape a future market engagement strategy and service requirements. The current service covers the secure storage and exchange of crypto assets. Home Office is looking to assess the market capability in relation to the provision of (please note this is not an exhaustive list): 1. End to end secure digital assets custody 2. Warm and cold storage capability 3. Secure exchange services (asset realisation) 4. Service scalability - excess of PS750m 5. Indemnity 6. Digital asset coverage including NFTs 7. the technology used to deliver these services. 8. MFA (Multi Factor Authentication/Authorisation) 9. Asset security SSL (end to end security measures) / ISO 27001 10. Web based interface and mobile device compatibility The Home Office is seeking to understand the provision of full end to end service (Custody and Exchange that can be provided as well as all digital assets that can be covered (now and future) including NFTs. The Home Office is considering options for the future storage and realisation of digital assets. The Home Office is looking to understand what services are currently available in the market that provide an institutional level of secure storage through to realisation. The Home Office is looking to engage the market to gain further information only at this time. The information provided will help the Home Office to consider and shape a future market engagement strategy and service requirements. The current service covers the secure storage and exchange of crypto assets. Additional information: Contract Value: Commission based, with rate subject to engagement with suppliers. Consideration would also be given to a fixed annual fee, again subject to supplier engagement. Suppliers should note that any specified total contract values (TCV) are the authority's best estimates. The value and contract term for this potential requirement will be informed by this Market Engagement activity.
