Summary of the contracting process

The Bath and North East Somerset Council, a regional authority in the United Kingdom, has successfully awarded a contract for Architectural Design Team services for the new Fashion Museum in Bath. The procurement process, carried out through a selective method, reached the award stage on the 21st of May 2024. The museum will be located at the Old Post Office in central Bath, offering opportunities for businesses in the architectural and engineering services industry. The contract value is £1,650,000 with the main focus on quality criteria, providing a potential growth opportunity for firms with expertise in architectural design.

This public procurement opportunity for the Bath Fashion Museum Architectural Design Team not only highlights the cultural significance of Bath but also presents a lucrative chance for architecture and planning services providers. B&NES Council's commitment to preserving historical buildings and promoting cultural tourism creates a niche market for firms specialising in listed building conservation and museum design. With the contract period ending in August 2030, businesses with experience in conservation works and museum design are well-suited to compete and contribute to the development of this prestigious cultural institution in Bath.
