Summary of the contracting process

The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) in Northern Ireland initiated a tender process for the installation of predator-proof fencing on two island sites on Lower Lough Erne, Northern Ireland. The project, funded by multiple sources including the EU's LIFE programme and the Northern Ireland Environment Agency, aims to save the curlew and other breeding waders. The procurement stage was marked as cancelled, with a focus on works category under the open procedure. The buying organisation, RSPB Northern Ireland located in Belfast, United Kingdom, managed the procurement process with a specific delivery location in Fermanagh, Northern Ireland.

This tender presents an opportunity for businesses involved in works related to erecting fencing. Companies with expertise in environmental protection and charity sectors may find this tender suitable for their capabilities. Despite the procurement being marked as cancelled, the project's goal to enhance vital bird habitats indicates potential future opportunities in similar conservation projects. Interested businesses should monitor RSPB Northern Ireland's future procurement activities for potential bidding opportunities in the environmental protection domain.
