Summary of the contracting process

United Utilities Water Limited procured wastewater sludge liming treatment services under the main category of sludge treatment services (CPV 90513800). Liming may be utilised as an alternative treatment of sludge to manage capacity shortfalls and increased production demand during planned/unplanned shutdowns. The Company has an estimated 30,000 - 50,000 wet tonnes of raw sludge per year that requires alternate treatment and / or disposal. Each mini competition within the DPS will be specific each site's specific needs, however it is anticipated that requirements shall include but not limited too: liming plant equipment, lime, permits (subject to site and lot) and resource to deliver the limed sludge treatment services. The DPS will consist of 2 lots: Lot 1: On-site lime treatment Lot 2: Off-site lime treatment
