Conflict of Interest Conflict of interest identified: the CEO of Norfolk Deaf Association is an Independent Non-Executive Member on the Board of Norfolk & Waveney ICB, Chair of the Patient and Communities Committee and Chair of the Quality and Safety Committee. Resolution: The non-conflicted members have assessed the nature and risk of this conflict, and have decided which steps to take to avoid or manage it by the interest being declared and managed by Norfolk & Waveney ICB. Key Criteria 1. Evidence of CQC registration- the sub-contractor will share evidence of CQC registration. 2. Evidence of appropriate Indemnity Arrangements- the sub-contractor will share indemnity certificate with the authority on an annual basis. 3. The sub-contractor must have a clinical governance framework in place for staff, as outlined in BSA Practice Guidance Aural Care (Ear Wax Removal) April 2017. 4. Fully trained and registered nurse and audiologist-led service must be delivered by suitably qualified and experienced practitioners. a. Routine earwax removal procedures are to be carried out by a trained health care professional who meets criteria of the minimum training guidelines defined in the Minimum Training Guidelines for Aural Care delivered by Hearing Health Care Professionals ', March 2016 by the British Society of Audiology. b. The practitioner must have access to direct supervision from a registered professional, as set out in the BSA Practice Guidance Aural Care (Ear Wax Removal) April 2017. c. Practitioner's experience and training is expected to be recorded, and provided upon re quest of the authority. 5. Sub-contractor infection control processes to be appropriate to the service being delivered and signed off by the Head Provider. 6. Able to deliver an aural micro-suction service on-site at JPUH on a weekly basis, seeing and treating c.16 patients per week 7. Cost effective.
