These contracts are for block purchasing of beds across multiple care home settings across the Cheshire East region to facilitate the discharge of hospital patients who are medically optimised but still require a level of ongoing care and support. The contracts have been put in place for the period of 1st April 2023 to 31st March 2024. The overall value of this requirement is PS5,590,987, which has been split between 12 contracts for various providers. These are being funded by the Cheshire & Merseyside Integrated Care Board. Additional information: The Council has used its waiver process to facilitate the establishment of these contracts.
Procurement Information
The selection of the suppliers is at the request of a third-party supplier - Cheshire and Merseyside Integrated Care Board. All costs will be met by the third party. These agreements have been arranged by Cheshire East Council on behalf of Cheshire and Merseyside Integrated Care Board. The situation here relies on Regulation 32 of the Public Contract Regulations being applied & the Exemption is requested in line with the Council's own Contract Procedure Rules.
