North of England Commissioning Support (NECS) is a commissioning support service working for and on behalf of NHS North East and North Cumbria ICB (the Relevant Authority), who have undertaken a competition process under the Provider Selection Regime to commission a new General Dental Access service and Urgent Dental Care services in Durham Central North. The contract term is for an initial period of 7 years commencing on 01 January 2025, with an option to extend for a further 3 years at the discretion of the Relevant Authority and subject to satisfactory contractual and financial performance. This is a new service. The contract will not be awarded to an incumbent provider.
