Legionella Monitoring and Maintenance Contract

The monitoring and maintenance program will entail activities such as temperature monitoring, shower descale and disinfections, cold water storage tank and water heater inspections, TMV servicing, and cleaning and disinfection.
Summary: Sunderland City Council is procuring specialist legionella monitoring and maintenance services for its buildings and other authority sites in Sunderland. The work covers temperature monitoring; shower descaling and disinfection; inspections of cold-water storage tanks and water heaters; thermostatic mixing valve servicing; and cleaning and disinfection. This is a services contract for technical testing, analysis, environmental monitoring and related water-safety maintenance. Delivery is divided geographically across Sunderland, covering Washington, the Coalfields and Sunderland North, plus Sunderland South, West and East. The two areas contain 135 and 131 sites respectively. The council is the buying organisation, and the programme is intended to support safe water systems across its estate.
