Lot Information
Lot 1
For the provision of supervision of clinical leads for Psychologically Informed Planned Environments (PIPEs) Supervision of clinical leads is undertaken by a group analyst who is experienced working with personality disorder, staff teams and organisational dynamics; they come together once a month for monthly group supervision and bi-monthly for individual supervision. The participants of the supervision are PIPE Clinical Leads and PIPE Operational Leads (separate groups) working across prisons and probation in the delivery of PIPE services. The Clinical Leads are typically a mix of Registered Psychologists and Psychotherapists. The supervision processes are designed to support the ongoing delivery and growth of PIPE services and the PIPE model nationally, to promote the understanding of the 'therapeutic environment' approach, and to promote the role of group analytic thinking within this process. Additional information: The decision makers for this award are: Lucinda Bolger: National Clinical Development Lead (NHS) for PIPEs Kerry Joy: Deputy National Clinical Lead (NHS) for PIPEs Paul Walker: Environments Lead OPD Pathway HMPPS Jamie Scott Service Manager, Personality Disorder and Neurodevelopmental Services There are no declared or potential conflicts of interest in this decision making process. Each criteria has equal weighting across the decision making process, the rationale for that being that the requirement is an essential service to support the rehabilitation of key individuals who participate in PIPE therapeutic interventions and therefore all key criterion are of equal importance: * Quality and innovation (20%) The service is currently delivered to a high quality standard with proven outcomes in terms of the objectives of the PIPE therapeutic interventions being delivered. * Value (20%) The providers of this service are engaged at agreed rates with no considerable change to this over the lifetime of this contract award. * Integration, collaboration and service sustainability (20%) The PIPE promotes integration of service, collaboration and service sustainability by offering support to clinical leads and supporting their working collaboratively to demonstrate continuous improvement in the delivery and development of the service. Supervision is a fundamental pillar of this and key to the ongoing success of the therapeutic environment. * Improving access, reducing health inequalities and facilitating choice (20%) The PIPE promotes the understanding of the therapeutic environment, supporting the network across this service, and its ongoing growth thereby improving access over the longer term. Health inequalities are reduced by improvement of outcomes for service users and a continuous improvement in the provision of the service. * Social value (20%) much of the service delivery for PIPE supervision is delivered remotely, thereby reducing travel and related emissions, supporting the NHS in its journey to net zero.
