Notice Description
NHS Bath and North East Somerset Integrated Care Board ("BSW") is commissioning a Hospice provision for children and young people including medically supported short respite breaks, symptom management, stepped discharge from hospital, emergency and end-of-life care. BSW is directly awarding a contract to the existing provider Children's Hospice South West in accordance with the criteria outlined in Regulation (9) of the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. The value of the contract is PS100,508 per annum. The contract is for three years (1 April 2024 to 31 March 2027)

BSW is directly awarding a contract to the existing provider Children's Hospice South West in accordance with the criteria outlined in Regulation (9) of the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. The value of the contract is PS100,508 per annum. The services within this contract have been identified and notified as on the reserve list of services to be considered to be included in the Integrated Community Based Care Contract which is currently in the Invitation To Tender (ITN1) stage of procurement. Reserve services will not be included in that contract from 1 April 2025, but will be considered to be included in the future which has informed the contract term for this procurement. The approximate lifetime value of the contract is PS301,524. The contract is for three years (1 April 2024 to 31 March 2027)
Procurement Information
This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) intention to award notice. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. The publication of this notice marks the start of the standstill period. Representations by providers must be made to the relevant authority by the 5th April 2024. This contract has not yet formally been awarded; this notice serves as an intention to award under the PSR.
