Notice Description
Calderdale Council's Branching Out Children and Young Peoples Drug and Alcohol Service is a substance misuse service delivered as part of Calderdale's Integrated Recovery and Treatment offer to improve the health and well-being of young people. The service will deliver: * Preventative and early interventions aimed at minimising and reducing new demand. * Parenting interventions for parents who misuse substances aimed at minimising the impact of the substance misuse on children. The service is an integral element of the children's partnership, working together with a range of key services that provide services to children, young people, and their families to improve outcomes and support children and young people to live happy and healthy lives. The drug strategy, From Harm to Hope, details an approach to address substance misuse by tackling supply, supporting individuals who require treatment and recovery and reducing demand for drugs.

Calderdale Council is intending to award this contract to the existing provider, Humankind, following direct award process C. Calderdale Council's Branching Out Children and Young Peoples Drug and Alcohol Service is a substance misuse service delivered as part of Calderdale's Integrated Recovery and Treatment offer to improve the health and well-being of young people. The service will deliver: * Preventative and early interventions aimed at minimising and reducing new demand. * Parenting interventions for parents who misuse substances aimed at minimising the impact of the substance misuse on children. The service is an integral element of the children's partnership, working together with a range of key services that provide services to children, young people, and their families to improve outcomes and support children and young people to live happy and healthy lives. The drug strategy, From Harm to Hope, details an approach to address substance misuse by tackling supply, supporting individuals who require treatment and recovery and reducing demand for drugs. The approximate lifetime value of the contract is PS1,404,50 with the services intended to be provided from 1st April 2024 to 1st April 2029.
Procurement Information
This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) intention to award notice. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. The publication of this notice marks the start of the standstill period. Representations by providers must be made to the relevant authority by 8th May 2024. This contract has not yet formally been awarded; this notice serves as an intention to award under the PSR.
