Summary of the contracting process

The Department of Science Innovation and Technology (DSIT) and the Department of Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) are seeking one or more suppliers for a Procurement Automation Project. This project aims to automate the source-to-contract process for low value / low complexity IT services procurements. The project involves implementing a guided buying process to support non-procurement users throughout the procurement process. The procurement stage is planned, with the future notice date set for 2024-06-05. The buying organisation, DESNZ & DSIT Group Commercial, based in London, United Kingdom, is inviting insights in response to a Request for Information (RFI) to achieve this objective.

This tender opportunity can create growth opportunities for businesses specializing in IT services, consulting, software development, Internet, and support. Suppliers who are experienced in public sector framework agreements and have expertise in guiding buying processes would be well-suited to compete. The procurement method is a Request for Information (RFI), and the location is primarily in the United Kingdom. Interested businesses should ensure pre-registration on the DSIT/DESNZ Procurement system portal to participate effectively in the upcoming project. The project offers a chance for businesses to contribute to the automation of procurements and support non-procurement users in achieving compliance throughout the process.
