Notice Description

Reading Borough Council (the "Customer") is inviting framework providers only to submit a response to a further competition in respect of the procurement opportunity referenced above. The Customer is utilising the ESPO Framework FW282_22 to appoint a Supplier to provide interior design services, a furniture plan and ultimately the provision of furniture for Reading Borough Council's new Customer Service, back office and it's new flagship Library.

RBC are completing a mini-competition exercise conducted under ESPO Framework Agreement 282_22 Office Furniture for the provision of Office Furniture for Reading Borough Council & Reading Library as part of our Civic improvements, to include interior design services and a furniture plan. This project is split into two phases, and the second phase will be taking place in 2025. Bidders are to note that they are submitting a response for both phases of the project. All services are to be included in submission bids (i.e. not at an additional separate cost): CAD drawings; design layouts (furniture); install / build in the furniture; space planning services; producing drawings for the customer which includes innovations (such as biophilic designed furniture/designs); solutions to furniture issues. The successful contractor will provide furniture fit-out designs ensuring measurements fit into the proposed design. They must also deliver, assemble, and fit the furniture and must specify mechanical and electrical requirements. This would be at no additional cost to the Council. The budget for the furniture element of this project for the Customer Service area, back office and the Library is PS1.2m.
