Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council are seeking to engage with providers for the delivery of an outstanding Young Carers Support Service that will prioritise a specific cohort of children/young people aged 8 to 18 years (up to their 19th birthday around transition to adulthood). . Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council are seeking an outstanding Young Carers Support Service that will prioritise a specific cohort of children/young people aged 8 to 18 years (up to their 19th birthday around transition to adulthood). This service will aim to promote and improve the health and wellbeing of young carers where their caring role has been assessed as having a negative impact on their own education, their ability to form friendships or undertake social activities and pursuits. Thus, supporting young carers to enjoy their childhoods and meet their educational achievement and potential despite their caring roles & responsibilities. . It is expected that the future opportunity will run for a period of 3 years with the option to extend for up to a further 2 years. . Providers are invited to attend a market engagement (ME) event on the Wednesday 3rd July 2024, between 10:30am to 12:00 on Microsoft Teams. . Information on the virtual event will be provided following registration. . Potential Providers should register their interest to attend the virtual event via the YorTender Portal by 12 Noon on Monday 1st July 2024 providing attendee details including attendee name, job role/position & email address via the messaging function. . Full details, including a copy of the DRAFT specification is available at https://uk.eu-supply.com/login.asp?B=YORTENDER, which is the link to the (Mercell Eu-Supply) YORtender tender portal site. The specific ref for this event is YORtender Ref. 88592 . Please note, once this notice has been published, it can take up to 3 hours for the event to appear on the YorTender portal. . For support with registration on the YORtender website or if you are having difficulties accessing the documents through YORtender, please contact the YORtender helpdesk via email to uksupport@eu-supply.com. . Interested parties are requested to complete by Friday 28th June 2024, a Soft Market Test Questionnaire which can be accessed via the following weblink. https://forms.office.com/e/3HWFFYJTFq . Any feedback in terms of the draft specification that you think the council needs to consider or clarify within the specification should also be submitted by Friday 28th June via the YorTender portal messaging system. . The purpose of this initial engagement phase is to help inform the Council's options & further decision making. . For the avoidance of doubt, this PIN is intended as an awareness/information gathering exercise only & is not a call to competition, is not a pre-qualification process & is not the start of a formal procurement exercise. . Participation or non-participation in this pre-procurement market engagement shall not prevent any potential provider participating in, nor shall it place any potential provider at an advantage in any future procurement opportunity. . Any future procurement opportunity is expected to be published on or around 1st August 2024. however, this timeframe is indicative only and the Council reserves the right to reschedule any forthcoming publication at any time. Additional information: The value indicated is an estimate only for the total potential contract duration of up to 5 years. Funding for the initial 3 years is PS75,000 per annum and will be fixed. There is an expectation that there will be a minimum of 10-15 group activities per quarter and not less than 50 individual 1 to 1 referrals to the service each year.
