This service is to increase the employability of people in Dumfries and Galloway through improving the capacity, scope, and influence of third sector provision in the region in line with Dumfries and Galloway Local Employability & Skills Partnership (LEP) vision and objective.

This procurement is to build the capacity and capability of the Third Sector in Dumfries and Galloway. In working towards this aim it is also important to take into consideration the Scottish Government outcomes for Third Sector Interfaces, which are: 1. People are more involved in their community. 2.Improved cross sector collaboration. 3.Third sector organisations are better able to lead and develop shared agendas. 4.Third sector organisations are better able to respond to local need. 5.Key decision making includes third sector input. 6.Third sector organisations are better able to contribute to a strong and inclusive local social economy. The outcomes of the work enabled through funding from the LEP are: 1.Build the capability and capacity of third sector organisations to maximise the potential for employability in the working age population. 2.Capitalise on opportunities to collaborate and strengthen opportunities for employability pipeline provision across the region. 3.Increase third sector participation in delivering employability support services to address the skills and recruitment gaps in key sector specific posts. 4. Work with our local communities to develop an inclusive, thriving economy and to promote Fair Work. 5.Raise the profile and influence of the third sector as a key partner in local decision making in relation to delivering employability outcomes in the region. 6.Increase volunteering opportunities to help develop skills, build capacity, and support progression into local employability. 7.Work with partners to help eliminate child poverty by increasing employment opportunities in the third sector for unemployed candidates
