Notice Description
Following a modification to the original contract, the Targeted Youth Support Service contract has been extended for a 6 month period, at an additional value of PS258,500. VEAT Notice 2024/S 000-021528 - published 12/07/2024 This modification is not considered to be a material modification. The council is reviewing the service in order to confirm future commissioning intentions in respect of the services currently delivered under this contract. These services fall under the Light Touch Regime.

Procurement Information
The Council proposes to make a modification to an existing contract under Regulation 72(8) of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. The proposed modification to the contract is considered lawful because it is not material. It is for the same services as the original contract - for a further 6 month period, beyond the initial 5 year contract term. The modification does not render the contract materially different, would not have allowed admission of other candidates / attracted additional participants, does not change the economic balance in favour of the contractor and does not extend the scope of the contract considerably. These services fall under the Light Touch Regime. The value of the contract during the additional 6 month period calls below the light touch services threshold, though the initial contract was above threshold.
