Summary of the contracting process

The Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) is planning a procurement process for Occupational Health Management Services, targeting various health and wellbeing provisions including occupational health, employee assistance programmes, and eye care services. Classified under miscellaneous health services (CPV: 85140000), this procurement is in the planning stage as of 9th August 2024 and will span across the United Kingdom with specific focus in the UKI region. Key details, such as the lotting structure and market engagement events, are yet to be determined. Potential suppliers are encouraged to register through the MPS e-tendering system and stay tuned for further notices, with initial communications anticipated around February 2025.

This tender represents a significant growth opportunity for businesses in health services, human resources consultancy, psychological services, and employee assistance. With an estimated contract value of £100 million, it offers a substantial market for firms specialising in comprehensive health and support services to employees. Ideal participants would be those capable of providing robust solutions to support the MPS workforce's diverse needs, ensuring quick and safe returns to duty, especially given the wide range of operational roles within the UK's largest police service. Engaging in this procurement could enhance a company's portfolio and expand its market reach within a critical public service sector.
