North Lincolnshire Council Public Health has received funding to invest in initiatives to reduce health inequalities. This specific project is enabled through that funding. This project will form part of wider programmes of work designed to tackle health disparities and inequities that exist across the North Lincolnshire population. There are stark disparities in health and wellbeing outcomes with those residing in areas of greatest deprivation likely to experience higher levels of premature mortality and longer years of life impacted by long-term illness and disability, vastly affecting quality of life. This project is required to build community capacity and resilience within specific locality areas experiencing the greatest health disparities, alongside gathering of local intelligence, insights and maximising potential of community assets and resources to enhance the physical, mental and social health and wellbeing of residents.
