Summary of the contracting process

CHIC Telecoms, a central purchasing body, has published an update to its Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for telecommunications services. The DPS, initially established under the Public Contracts Regulations 2015, must now conclude by 27th October 2028 according to transitional regulations within the Procurement Act 2023. This system remains open to CHIC’s current and future members, encompassing diverse organisations such as Housing Associations, Local Authorities, Government Departments, the NHS, Emergency Services, Educational Institutions, and more. The estimated value of contracts to be facilitated through the DPS during this period is approximately £40,000,000 excluding VAT. The DPS continues to accommodate new and existing CHIC members, with associated contracts managed under the PCR 2015 until their completion.

This tender offers significant opportunities for businesses specialising in telecommunications services to secure high-value contracts with various public sector entities across the United Kingdom. Companies with expertise in serving sectors such as housing, healthcare, education, and local government are well-positioned to benefit. By participating in the DPS, suppliers can gain access to a broad client base and ensure continuous engagement through regular contract awards. Additionally, being part of this system allows businesses to expand their market reach, innovate offerings tailored to public sector needs, and foster long-term growth through stable and diverse procurement opportunities.
