Summary of the contracting process

The London Borough of Haringey is currently in the planning stage of a procurement process for commissioning a specialist "Lot 3 LGBTQ+ Independent Domestic Violence and Advocacy service". This service, categorised under Health and Social Work Services (CPV code: 85000000), aims to support LGBTQ+ residents who are experiencing gender-based abuse. A pre-procurement market engagement event is scheduled for Tuesday, 17th September 2024, at 10:00 am, with the venue to be confirmed in Haringey. Expressions of interest for attending the event must be registered by 6:00 pm on Wednesday, 11th September 2024. This engagement is an essential step before the council proceeds with the formal procurement process planned to be announced on 24th October 2024.

This tender provides a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in domestic violence support services, particularly those with experience in serving the LGBTQ+ community. Ideal candidates would be service providers capable of offering comprehensive support across different risk levels, including independent gender violence advocates and floating support for varying risk profiles. Businesses equipped with the resources and expertise to handle a case load of 20-25 clients per quarter within the London Borough of Haringey could see considerable growth through this contract. Moreover, participation in the pre-procurement event could provide valuable insights and a competitive edge in the upcoming tender process.
