Summary of the contracting process

The London Borough of Haringey is in the planning stage of a procurement process for the "Lot 8 Identification and Referral to Improve Safety Service." Targeting the health and social work services sector, this initiative aims to commission an IRIS (Identification and Referral to Improve Safety) service across 34 GP practices in Haringey. The pre-procurement market engagement event is scheduled for Tuesday, 17th September 2024, at 10:00am in Haringey. The closing date for registering attendance is 18:00 (6pm), on Wednesday, 11th September 2024. This event will feature presentations on the Council's commissioning intentions, anticipated requirements, and the proposed procurement process, allowing prospective service providers to ask questions and present their views.

This procurement opportunity represents a significant growth prospect for businesses specialising in health services and domestic abuse prevention. Companies with expertise in providing training for clinical and non-clinical staff, particularly in recognising and addressing domestic abuse and Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG), are well-suited to compete. The IRIS service includes structured training plans, casework support for patients identified as standard to medium risk, and referrals for high-risk cases. By participating in this tender, businesses can expand their reach within the health sector, particularly in contributing to community safety and wellbeing in Haringey.
