Summary of the contracting process

NHS Gloucestershire Integrated Care Board has awarded a contract titled "Anonymous Drop-in Support Service for 9-25 year olds in Gloucestershire" under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. This procurement focuses on health services within the Gloucestershire region. The contract, valued at approximately £140,094.50, runs for 13 months starting from 1 September 2024. The contract award was formally confirmed on 9 April 2025, following the direct award process C prescribed by the Provider Selection Regime, which does not utilise a call for competition.

This tender presents significant business opportunities, especially for small and medium-sized enterprises within the health services sector. The contract involves providing anonymous online, text chat, and telephone 1-1 support to young people aged 9-25. Businesses specialising in youth counselling, mental health support, and community-based health services would be well-suited to compete. The incumbent, TIC+, deemed proficient across five key criteria, demonstrates the importance of meeting contractual and legislative requirements while effectively delivering high-quality, safe counselling services. Companies capable of reducing health inequalities and fundraising to support service delivery stand to benefit in this competitive procurement landscape.
