Summary of the contracting process

Thames Water Utilities Limited is inviting suppliers to participate in a tender for "Chemical Dosing, Polymer Dosing and Disinfection Equipment" under the industry category of disinfection equipment (CPV: 39330000). The procurement process is currently in the tender stage, with an extended deadline for pre-qualification questionnaire (PQQ) submission now set to 14 October 2024 at 12 noon. This tender covers various lots, including clean water gas disinfection equipment, clean water liquid disinfection equipment, wastewater phosphorus-removal dosing equipment, wastewater other chemicals dosing equipment, and polymer dosing equipment. The locations involved encompass regions within the Thames Water service area, such as UKJ and UKI. The contract period spans an initial term of 3 years with potential extensions up to 7 years, using a negotiated procedure with prior call for competition as the procurement method.

This tender offers substantial opportunities for businesses that specialise in the design, manufacture, installation, and maintenance of chemical dosing, disinfection, and related equipment. Companies providing value-added services and capable of ensuring compliance with environmental legislation are highly encouraged to participate. Moreover, suppliers who can offer comprehensive solutions either independently or in collaboration with third parties stand to benefit from the contract's potential high value and longevity. Small to medium enterprises (SMEs) with relevant expertise may find this particularly advantageous, especially those capable of delivering innovative and cost-effective solutions to maintain and upgrade water treatment systems.
