Summary of the contracting process

The Defra Network eTendering Portal, a division of the UK's Ministry of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra), is currently in the planning stage for a procurement process titled "Assured Operator Training". This procurement seeks to acquire e-learning services under the CCS Framework RM6219 and falls under the services category with a primary focus on training businesses or traders involved in the import of plant and plant products into Great Britain. The purpose of the training is to enable Authorised Operators to conduct physical and identity inspections of their imported goods at their premises. All interested parties are required to respond by 12th September 2024. The contract value is £100,000 GBP, and the delivery addresses covered in this procurement are within the UK.

This tender represents an excellent growth opportunity for businesses specialising in e-learning services, particularly those with a focus on compliance and regulatory training. Enterprises with experience in developing training programmes that align with government regulations and standards, such as those set by the APHA and ISPM 45 for phytosanitary checks, would find this opportunity particularly well-suited to their capabilities. Participation in this tender could also position businesses as key players in government training initiatives, potentially leading to future procurement opportunities with Defra or other governmental agencies.
