Summary of the contracting process

This procurement process is being initiated by AGH Solutions Ltd on behalf of Airedale NHS Foundation Trust, Bradford District Care Trust, and Bradford Teaching Hospitals for the provision of patient transport taxi services within the Bradford District. The main procurement category is services, specifically categorised under "Taxi services" (CPV: 60120000). The procurement stage is currently in the planning phase, with an estimated contract commencement date around February 2025, although this date may change. The process is expected to officially commence within the next 12 months, and the total estimated contract value is £7,000,000. The procurement will cover various lots including shuttle bus services for hospital staff and taxi services, both with and without chaperones, across several NHS Acute sites within the West Yorkshire Integrated Care System (ICS).

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in transport and logistics, particularly those with experience in medical and patient transport services. Businesses that can provide customised solutions to meet the needs of different NHS trusts, including the ability to manage both patient and goods transport effectively, would be well-positioned to compete. The requirements include distinct lots, offering potential contracts to companies of varying sizes and capabilities, making it suitable for both large transportation firms and smaller, specialised service providers. The planned multi-lot structure allows for flexibility, enabling businesses to bid on specific sections of the contract that match their expertise and capacity.
