Notice Description

Northern Gas Networks (NGN) will be extending the current contract with Symology, and upgrading to Aurora which will provide a solution for the planning, management and coordination of Streetworks activities between NGN and key stakeholders (Highways Authorities (HA's) ). This allows NGN to notify the HA's of our intention to work, apply for a permit/lane rental to work and then manage that permit throughout the lifecycle of the works until final completion and reinstatement.

Procurement Information

The system is already integrated within NGN and changing supplier would incur significant risk to NGN to what is an essential and legal requirement ie NGN must have suitable systems in place to manage Streetworks with local Highway Authorities. The product is used by the majority of HA's and GDNs and NGN must keep risk of switching suppliers to a minimum.
